Draconic Tempering

Draconic knowledge, has been flowing readily. What's been most pronounced is gnosis of Physical and Internal Strength training. Although currently in the worst shape of my life.....throughout my whole youth and going up until my late twenties, I loved working out and strove for physical perfection. Now the wheel has turned again and I'm back on the saddle, due to the gradual return of my health.

Push Yourself to Power by John Peterson, was a pivotal book in my studies, yet Path Notes emphasized internal strength, how it can be used to martial effect and it's superiority over bulky muscles. While I still feel confusion on the topic, I'm hoping the following posts will give me allowance, for sorting thoughts.

Body Tempering
The idea of using internal techniques to increase one's strength, is a concept I first came across via Path Notes. Glenn writes of a relaxed suppleness to the tissues and increased physical strength.

"The musculature is soft and very supple, more like an athletic girl than a man, which is probably a by-product of the rejuvenation of the endocrine system and accounts for the association with androgyny. This is what Okinawan practitioners of karate refer to when they describe the body of a master as "steel wrapped in cotton." The bones appear harder and whiter under X-ray. The mental linking of intention with action backed by the endocrine system results in what is perceived by the more hesitant as superhuman strength and speed." Path Notes of an American Ninja Master by Glenn Morris (pg 24)

Glenn's book is one of the few I still own, its' packed to the brim with Gnosis, I always find a few new nuggets when i re-read. Now that I'm exploring the Draconic current, it may be a time for a refresher.

Ironically, the 2nd place I came across the concept of "Body Tempering" was through fictional wuxia novels (Chinese Martial Fantasy). Although fictional works, there are many tidbits that use fantastical writing to point out deeper truths.

When it comes to Body Tempering, there are only 2 internal techniques I know....but likely many methods to explore. While there are numerous systems of cultivation and all affect the physical, be it directly or indirectly, not all systems are centrally oriented on the physical(Bones, Muscle....etc). Many of the early systems I trained had profound health benefits, but at the same time were Celestially oriented. Different phases of training, different methods.

In a previous post, I wrote on the Silk Flesh Scriptures, while Astral and Celestially oriented, I worked  Mantric tech from the current with profound body tempering affects. Depending how you design your mantra cocktails....the effects even within currents that are not Root Chakra oriented, can be physically purifying. Suffice to say, these things can get quite complicated.

What I've noticed personally, is that a key of Body Tempering, is  using a type of "Force" to "smelt" the physical body and remove impurities. In the instance of Silk Flesh Scriptures, body tempering came about as a mix of descending white light, purging my flesh and a rush of cthonic force causing my blood and bones to spin and cleanse. On the other-side of the equation, when I practice my Dragon Mantra, it triggers a blood red light in the root chakra, surging through the aura and Kundalini rushing in the body, purging impurities. Both of these systems have a body tempering effect....but use very different "pressures" to trigger transformation.

Then there is the act of physical strength training (push-ups, pull-ups....etc) and combining them with internal "smelting". I want to write more on this topic (Internal-External strength).....but my understanding is still immature....need more time to cultivate. Till next time, cheers.
