Killing Field

I've discussed the Biceps as part of Body Tempering and another area that I've been exploring is the Glutes. The butt is a muscle group that correlates with Movement and Posture. Integrating glute cleansing into the regime has born interesting fruit. By doing so, I've understood the role of "refined movement' in conflict to greater effect. Every martial artist has sparred with someone far below there level of skill....there movements feel clunky, openings are easy to find and it almost by comparison feels like that person is moving in "slow motion". If you cultivate and refine your movement.....those "situations" will become more common, even against higher level fighters. Your capacity to "see through" an opponents movements, will be enhanced.

One unexpected manifestation of glute training, was me going back and watching one of my favorite old school martial art flicks, Drunken Master (1978). If you haven't seen this movie, your missing out. Anyways, how well getting drunk works in a fight is highly debatable.....but some gnosis that I took from re-examining this concept, was the idea of movement. The body is capable of extremely strange and difficult movements. This "well of movement" and exploring all the different courses the body can take.....is extremely deep and needs studying (lines and spheres).

Another bit, I took away from the movie....Is the idea of an ecosystem of martial styles, in which there are all these different methods circulating and people are constantly seeking out good techniques and testing them against others. In modern times....the closest thing to this was old school UFC, where there were no rules and martial artists of varying styles would fight. Modern UFC, has fallen off a bit due to excessive rules (weight limit, spine strikes...etc) and so is not as raw as previous times....though still fun to watch.

The martial ecosystem, where the strong devour the weak.....the cream will naturally rise to the top and continually be tested for efficacy. An important cleansing mechanism for the Martial Way. If your a scammer....you won't last long and may end up dead.

Internal Cyclical Disaster

I've mentioned previously, how karmic forces and health issues have crippled me greatly. While doing everything I can to heal....I've also come to grips with the fact, that these types of "internal disasters", are part and parcel of the path. Tis a very painful truth....but to seek growth is also to seek disaster...one does not exist without the other. That being said.....being caught unawares by these phenomena is not a necessity. The disasters I've faced on my path relate to water qi and they've so violently kicked my ass, it's left me staggered beyond death. To articulate how intense these challenges have been.....I recall watching that first scene from Lethal Weapon 1....where the women jumped off the building at the beginning. During one peak episode of internal pain.....I saw that clip and longed for that "sweet release", jealous of her fall.

Suffice to say, if your training passionately, there will be challenges....but you don't need to be blind-sided. My path would've been much smoother, had I been prepared (hindsight is 20-20), so lately I've been divining and scanning the future with my spirit allies and seeking out what the next cyclical disaster (triggered by training) will be. As a result, I've been able to isolate some key culprits and do prep work for the occasion. Pain is always on the menu.....but it will be nothing compared to my first blood.

Ukraine War

For those not aware, I'm a political junkie and pay very close attention to what's going on in the world. One tragedy....still ongoing.....is the Ukraine-Russia conflict....I think the death toll at this point is in the hundreds of thousands. Anyways, I've thought about this conflict in the context of the Martial Way and finally did some divination. The conflict is like none other before, given the high usage of drone technology. Drones, Guns and Bombs.....in this corpse filled arena....I asked the below question of the martial styles from the Martial Play blog:

-What martial style will give the highest probability of survival?
O Zen Wu

This key sound popped up above the rest, even the Dragon Mantra I'm working. There are certain arcana within the dragon mantra, that if I work with narrowly, will outperform "O Zen Wu"....but in terms of general training, this key is best of the lot for survival. I know the source of this key sound, so getting this result was quite ironic and gave me a good chuckle. People like to gas up there martial traditions.......but it's important to put them up against the most heartless and blood soaked circumstances possible. Getting this divinatory result, has forced me to slightly adjust my methods.

On the topic of War, Men and Draconic power......draconic training has helped me understand capitalism and western society better via this simple fact: "when men get bored, bad shit happens". I remember listening to Bill Burr (comedian) talk about him having kids and how naturally temperamentally different the sexes are, he talked about this time at a birthday party, how the girls were off talking with each other and one of the young boys just randomly walked up to a table and punched it for "no reason".

When men having nothing to do....blood will flow....all of capitalism is designed to channel the natural masculine impulse, into a pathway that brings stability and virility to civilization. Men need things to keep them busy: Women, Business, Sports, Family.....etc. If you have a civilization of bored men....you have a massacre on your hands.

Minor Notes

-"Any Which Way You Can" (1980), a root chakra movie.
-Guts, a Draconic character (Berzerk Manga)
-Dan Blizerian....he has dragon blood....every time I see him, I feel that resonance.
